Simple but memorable...

These past few days have been really epic and interesting for me.I guess I did finally made up my mind about Leon..Previously I was really really unsure..Many doubts popped up in my mind but I guess in time I would learn to accept him as he is..But honestly I'm really thankful for him. Had our first 'date' at Clarke Quay followed by shopping today. I do feel very comfortable and happy with him and I think that's a good sign :)

I guess I've been always comparing him too much that's why I was so hesitant but he seems to know my needs (esp physical). So yea, that's kinda important for me :)

Today we went shopping together..Learnt a lot about guys stuff but have to work on it.

Looking forward to next date ^^

11 Jan 2013

A really special day for me I guess (& HX-RH) so I think it's only right that I mention it here, even though I haven't finished my previous blog post about my 21 days in China..hehes :x

Started the day off with E-main doing 200x4x3sets with me..Felt damn bad I was late, haven't gotten into the motion of waking up early..But thankfully, E-main is E-main, so she was not that pissed but (mental-note=no more being late)

Rushed down for swim trials, feeling a little reluctant because it was Sherlynn's bf doing the trials and I was already very very late and I wasn't even fast. Thankfully I saw Chunnie and Debs there and it really made me a little happier (which countered the fact that I didn't know the rules and was damn slow >.<) After the trials, I hung around with Debs & Chunnie to play with Chunnie's new flippers.

After that, I went to the Wuhan feedback session, which really made me damn happy because it seems like stepping back into the surreal feeling that maybe, with this bunch of awesome friends, we could get whisked back to cold cold China once again. I think perhaps God really blessed my trip because nothing went wrong at all and rather, it was A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE :) I really never laughed so much in 21 days before & I did enjoy the freedom when I was there (of course, including the ability to spend my allocated-more than enough budget). Maybe I did miss the trainings but it was the feeling of no responsibilities that I really missed. But well, a trip was a trip, and it would have to end. I guess it was a little weird seeing everyone normally but still it was an enjoyable session.

We had a 3h basketball session after lunch which was damn fun. Still, as Yinzhi remarked, a lot different compared to China, where we were just freezing while playing, compared to here, where we are just sweating buckets. hahaahas..

After that, Leon sent me, Yi San & Lisa home. And then, we had some random dinner at Subway at Rivervale Mall (we always seem to go to random places for food :O ) That was when HX told me about her & RH..Happy for them :) It's quite interesting in the sense that good stuff came out from this trip..hahahahas..
Anyways, that night was a certainly weird one. Nothing sappy which I've imagined or of the stuff I expected & it was rather simple. So he just asked on sms and i said ok. That was it..Should I have expected more?

TEAM Aquathlon Training Camp Desaru 2013 (2-6 Jan)

5days 4nights of training, 3sessions of swimming & running..to me, sounds quite crazy, especially after a 3-week hiatus. But I'm glad to say I've made it :)

Day 1:

Left school at 9am and reached Desaru about 2pm. We had lunch and then at around 3.30pm, we had our first swim training at the pool. Whoa, the pool was full of drag..Felt like I couldn't move at all. It was tough. After that, we had dinner and sharing session by Coach David about personalities, strengths & weaknesses. Day 1 and I'm already sooo tired.

Me swimming at the super drag pool

Day 2:

Woke up at 5:30am for a morning warm-up 8k tempo run & did stretch cords. It's been a while since I've ran. Next we had breakfast, took a 15min nap and started a tough swim training..think we covered almost 4k. Then we had lunch, followed by a nap (again). I guess this is a life of a pro-athlete..Do I really enjoy it? Not really..It requires a lot of focus.

In the afternoon, we had slopes training (12x400m slopes). SHAG. hahas..then dinner & another sharing session.

Day 3:

Did my morning run with Sara and we covered another  8k, once again followed by stretch cords. It was much more manageable today though I think I haven't fully recovered yet. Next was swim training and initiation jump - I did a 5m..looks damn scary >.< luckily there was Kenley :) Good for me as it was a first time but I doubt I'll redo it..

After that, it was lunch and followed by a relay of 1.4k (x16) :O
Me, En Yi & Max were in the same group and we got last :( oh wells. at least I pushed hard

Day 4:

Morning run of 10k of slopes plus 2k warmup & cooldown. No joke..
After that it was quite a chill day - open water swim for an hour before lunch. It was quite fun actually cos I've never seen such huge waves..it's like surfing.
Had our supersprint in the afternoon - 2sets of 200m swim+2k run
Me, Kenley & Yew Wee won the first set and overall got 2nd for the combined sets. :) yays!
But started feeling nauseous after that.

Ok this was the worst part of the camp where I got really really sick & had to miss my last long run & beach activity on Day 5 but I was thankful for Sara, Lemin & the rest of the team for helping me...

Thats all!

Travelling Solo..

I know its the exams period but now I'm back into the Taiwan pop scene because I fell in love with Rainie & Xiaozhu's newest collabo 再一次心跳; a promo video, if I'm not wrong for Tasmania (heart of the world - 世界的心脏)Great way to attract the Asian market actually and playing on the storyline to get people there. Ok I admit I fell in love with the actors/storyline more than the place but anyways, it's a good ploy :)

Travelling solo to an exotic place, meeting some mysterious stranger, falling in love...Sounds too common & clique but perhaps this idea has captivated me in such a way that perhaps thats why I love to travel. Travelling alone might be kind of lonely at times because there's no one to share that perfect breathtaking moment you find so hard to put in words to describe but it does allow you to selfishly take in all that beautiful experiences of being in a foreign country on your own and capture every sight, sound and vibe. Sounds really ironic but thats the beauty of travelling solo.

As for meeting that mysterious stranger that just grabs your attention (and your heart, too), did in a way experienced it once before, but I guess being together does not seem very possible. Like a short trip, thats how long it will last and its probably because of the travel as a liminal period (sociological perspective) where it kind of authorises people to go beyond their boundaries. Well, as an idealist, I do still hold on to the view that it might just happen..

Fallling in love... That memory was bittersweet but painful as well. Perhaps I hated myself for not cherishing that moment more and holding tight to it; if I could turn back time, I would. Perhaps I didn't make that big an impression, that's why the next morning, after a week, things changed..Sighs

So where do I go from now? Where should I go?

And, should one travel to seek love or seek love in travelling for its own sake? Its hard to separate the two...

Reading Week Bores..

Second day of reading week..

Got back some of my essays and all but somehow I didn't do as well as I hoped and expected despite more effort put in :((

Sighhs..have to work harder for finals then.. Dec 3-6.. a whole mad rush

3 days later on the 9th, I'm flying to China for Winter Programme. Will be missing Gerald's wedding and all the training sessions with the aquathlon (ESPECIALLY) & cross team & also all the ihgs. So yea, its really a mix of feelings.

I am sooooo bored..used to study with all the cross girls - anne, tricia, siew, zak, caisang; sometimes justin but now, tricia finished her papers & I don't see zak & caisang :/ miss the first year where we studied overnight as MRB with patrick, ben, ee ghim..studying's only fun if u do so with people..and it makes it a little less painful & boring. and also last sem with william, chun meng & kristian..

I don't seem to have any one now..bleahs..

I'll be glad if there's someone who can make me laugh amidst this terribly boring period..
