V-Day Confessions

This is my first ever V-Day of the 22 years of my life..

Well, although it was like any other day, there's this chirpy happy lovey-dovey feeling inside of me that I can't help but feel as compared to the other 21 years of my life.

Who is he? Leon. 22years old, Year 2 Geog (GIS) Major.

How did I meet him? 2012 Wuhan Winter Exchange.

Why I love him? I really don't know.. It's indescribable.

Everything was as per normal; Leon and I still met to study at our usual place and I went for track intervals training. He picked me up at 8.30pm after training for dinner at a Little India restaurant..First thing first..He presented me with a lovely bouquet of 3 roses ( <3 )

Sweet right :)
We went to this restaurant, LAGNAA (No. 6 Upper Dickson Road) for dinner. Though there was a V-Day meal, it was awfully overpriced and too much for me to eat so we ordered ala-carte.The atmosphere was lovely with candles, we were seated on the 2nd floor and initially were all by ourselves till an angmoh couple came. Service was not too bad and food was good, although a little pricer, plus the 30% surcharge..

We ordered saffron rice, masala dory fish, spicy vegetables, mango lassi and pistachio kulfi (ice cream). Yums..

After dinner, we headed to Sentosa Tanjong Beach to relax and chill. Leon gave me a citigems heart necklace, it was really beautiful. Too bad that we couldn't just spend the night there and watch sunrise the next morning..

Chinese New Year Holidays

It's been both a busy and slack CNY weekend for me..quite different compared to other years somehow; probably because I was out on CNY eve and it kept raining throughout the few days, which made the dreary days pass very quickly.

On CNY eve, I kickstarted the day with Ang Bao training at ECP with the Aquathlon team - awfully fun :) We did some 1k (x8) relay around the Ski Park and some station workouts. I think most of my energy was spent laughing than training because during the relay I passed the oranges (supposed to pass 2 mandarin oranges and shout Gongxi facai) to Joshua (which wasn't in my relay group). LOLS.. Then, Leon and I went to MBS for lunch (we had yummy pitas) and thereafter Gardens By the Bay Cloud Forest. It was not bad although maybe not cheap for such a small area. Pretty flowers everywhere. Then for some reason, I was super tired at night, that I didn't even stay up to watch TV!

New Year Day came real quickly. Was supposed to go for first service but was too sleepy but still, I managed to sneak in a 10k run before heading to Grandpa's house. Wore my $20 pretty cheongsam :D
Nothing much went about at Ah Gong's place, not even talking to cousins. So sian... That's Day 1 for you.

On the 2nd day, sneaked another tempo 12k run with John at 7am :))) Then Leon came over to visit before taking me to Dempsey's Jones the Grocer for a nice breakfast. After that we took a walk around Botanic Gardens before heading over to his house for CNY visit. Seems like the day really passed very quickly and I found myself tired againnn.. Did nothing fruitful as well..

Oh well, looking forward to V-Day now, I guess!

Special Thursdays & hopefully..more to come!

Every Thursday, Leon & I will take time off our (or rather my) busy schedule to go out for a special dinner..Last week we went to Holland V to eat seafood pizza & then went over to West Coast Park to enjoy some night scene. This week, we tried Star Vista & went to Esspresoup. It was totally well-worth the money & the food was good :) I ordered tomato-veg soup ($9.30 with the bread bowl) while Leon got mushroom & cheese quesadillas ($9). Actually I think I will go back to Star Vista to eat again..The choices seems really good!

Looking forward to Chinese New Year, V-Day & my birthday :) It has been a great month together..

Week 3 and counting...

It's really scary how fast time is passing, it's already week 3 of my final semester in NUS. I went for the career fair today with an open mind, hoping to source for potential jobs..The problem is the career fair seems to give me an impression that the job market is ready and open to hire but in reality, it's not
:( gosh..i wonder how many people I have to compete with in order to land myself into a job that is not too boring with average pay and flexible hours.

I hope I'll be able to cope with this semester, honestly. I used to think that it'd be fun having a bf and go on dates but I realised a relationship really really requires a lot of time and commitment. The worst feeling is that I can't commit time because of trying to cope with studies and trainings but thankfully, my awesome understanding bf is SO GREAT! Bringing me soyabean milk when I'm studying and offering to buy me coffee/fruits even when I have nothing to offer, much less time, who could ask for more? Ok, I really feel damn bad :(

Yesterday was really a slackkk day..Had a manicure at Strip! at Dempsey with Esther..The last of my $100 voucher.. Then at night, went to Holland Village area to eat seafood pizza at some wine-pizza restaurant & icecream at The Daily Scoop (double scoop $5.60; average quality with mostly icecream than sorbet) & thereafter headed to West Coast Park for some star/ship-gazing.. simple but :)

 Esther : Her first manicure!

The Daily Scoop

Lastly, I'm really nervous for IVP on Saturday. My first ever track race..Pray I'll do well!

Oh yes..Revamping of this blog..I have to:

1. Include posts on products
2. Include interesting tranings/sports experiences
3. Include reviews of books/songs...
